RUNNING GAIT ANALYSIS
BENEFITS OF OUR RUNNING GAIT ANALYSIS
Whether you’re just new to running or a seasoned ultra-running athlete, we’re the place for you. We treat a wide range of runners from Olympic hopefuls to high school track and cross country runners.
Because of our in depth process, we are the premier clinic for ultra runners and endurance athletes in the region. Our staff not only has the depth of knowledge to treat your injuries, but every one of us has completed ultra events or competed as a high level athlete in the past.
HOW DOES A RUNNING GAIT ANALYSIS WORK?
We absolutely love our process. We start with a full work up:
-
Comprehensive Medical and Injury Assessment
-
History with running / walking
-
Goals for your time on 2 feet
-
Shoe analysis
-
Flexibility
-
Upper and Lower body Strength
-
Core muscle endurance
-
Movement pattern screening
-
Pain and provocations tests
-
Video Gait Analysis
Then, once we put all those pieces together, we can come up with a way to support your body in getting through the miles easier, fastier, or healthier. It may be as simple as a few exercises to address muscle imbalances. Or it might be as complex as reworking your stride or arm swing to make sure you aren’t overloading certain areas that can break down, causing fatigue or pain.
We end up actively running with almost all of our clients. It isn’t enough to TELL someone how to make changes in an activity most of us have done since childhood. Helping clients understand what they are doing, giving them clear feedback, and reinforcing what it FEELS like as you’re moving optimally is truly the key to making lasting changes for the better.
We will also speak into your cross training choices - weights, flexibility, cardio, core training - to make sure that you aren’t wasting your time with the WRONG type of cross training for your needs. Recovery, sleep, hydration, nutrition, programming - we love to help you round out all of these areas so you can reach your peak experience.
From newbie runners to ultrarunners to olympic hopefuls, we’ve got you covered.
